NBC makes full episodes of 30 Rock and The Office available to iPhone users

Like any other media company NBC is worried about their content being stolen. And while we keep arguing DRM is not the answer, but a easy annoyance to the end users - they keep pushing their awkward “story.” However, this time even with some restrictions they seem to be doing the right thing. The media company is offering full episodes of 30 Rock and The Office to all iPhone and iPod Touch users. Ideal of all there are no ads — it's 100% free — making us think what's behind the curtain. Free ad-supported content is cool in my book, but this is simply weird. In addition, there's no DRM involved although restrictions are made — whenever you exit Safari, you'll need to download the episodes again. Forget EDGE, this is the WiFi thing only and even then you superior have more than a decent connection or at least enough time to spare.
Finally, we're not sure what's NBC's strategy. On one hand they are against Apple and on the other they come up with this. Guess Apple product users are not the problem, after all.
