Details on BlackBerry OS 4.6 for BlackBerry 9000 Bold / BlackBerry 9500 Thunder

We've already been introduced, informally at least, to RIM's new BlackBerry 9XXX smartphone duo. The RIM BlackBerry 9000 Bold and BlackBerry 9500 Thunder have been outed as the next-best thing to come from Waterloo.
So, with the Bold and Thunder getting prepped to take on the likes of the iPhone head to head, it only makes sense that RIM would be pushing a revamped mobile OS with their upcoming flagship handsets. Enter BlackBerry OS 4.6.
Horizon Wireless On the web has posted a detailed breakdown of what to expect from the next-generation mobile OS from Research In Motion - and it's looking good.
As expected, the BlackBerry OS 4.6 offers a richer web-browsing experience with full support for all those fancy three- and four-letter acronyms that make the full web so pretty. The track-ball (pearl, nav-ball, whatever you want to call it) will allow you to navigate around a full webpage as well as zooming in and out with a easy click - the BlackBerry 9500 Thunder will presumably grant for finger-based zooming.
BlackBerry OS 4.6 also brings with it some delicious “Music Sync,” clock application (which is apparently good enough to highlight as a “new” feature), and an option to customize the homescreen grid size.
All in all, we can't wait to get our hands on the BlackBerry 9500 Thunder. The BlackBerry OS 4.6's slick UI should fare nicely with the Thunder's touchscreen.
