You know you have at least one ugly-ass sweater in their closet, right? Maybe it’s that one grandma made, or that one your mother bought you from the clearance rack at some discount store. It just sits in there, getting no use… until now.
Dig it out, put it on, and take a picture. If you don’t have one, find one, or make one. Put that on, snap a photo, and post it in the comments below. There’s also the dreaded holiday sweater you see old ladies wearing at the super market. Borrow one of those, put it on. Anything ugly and sweater-y is fine. Let us see and laugh at you.
Please try to hold up something that says “Destructoid” in the picture.
We’ve five copies of Ubisoft’s Shaun White Snowboarding for the Xbox 360 (the Limited edition Target edition) to give away, so we’ll pick the five worst sweater pictures posted before Monday night next week and award copies.
Hit the jump to read about the game you could nab with your hideous pullover.

Christmas? We’ll be having none of that, son. It’s “Holidays” on Xbox Live, and that of course involves an obligatory Hanukkah reference so that nobody thinks you’re racist. LIPS is getting some “Holiday Music” and unlike that Anti-Semitic SingStar, our Jewish friends get a song. Huzzah!
Rather disconcertingly, and absolutely not in the spirit of the season, the LIPS songs are individually priced and quite high-priced when bundled. Elivs Presley’s “Blue Christmas” is 180 Microsoft Points while “The Dreidel Song” by Sister Hazel can be yours for 160 Points. This is clearly racism on the part of Microsoft, believing that Jews won’t purchase the track unless it’s at a lower price.

Using the Xbox 360 to stream Netflix movies has been — for many of us — an enjoyable experience. Not everyone is having luck with the service though, as some people are reporting that the picture quality has dropped considerably within the last couple of weeks.
It’s worth noting that these issues aren’t specific to the Xbox 360; Roku users have submitted similar complaints. Netflix spokesperson Steve Swasey says it’s “a small number of people involved,” but the company doesn’t want to “diminish the fact that it’s important.”
There’s no word on any repairs yet, but Swasey did comment that Netflix is “working diligently to identify the problem.” Unless this is resolved in a timely fashion, I can easily see the majority of the affected Netflix members canceling their subscriptions. Don’t let us down, guys!

Remember your favorite arcade sports games from the ’90s, like NBA Jam? Come on, I know even all you sports haters have some fond memories of those classics. Don’t be afraid to admit it! Well, many of those games (I’m speaking particularly with NBA Jam in mind) had cheats available that would enable some pretty crazy sh*t — Hillary Clinton, I’m looking at you. Now, EA Sports is looking to try and awaken the kid in all of us with 3 on 3 NHL Arcade.
Set for release for $9.99 on PSN and 800 Microsoft Points on XBL next February, 3 on 3 NHL Arcade brings you a “no rules, fast paced, hockey experience” [sic], and the focus here’s on accessibility — getting people of all ages and backgrounds involved in the fun. The game will feature forty top NHL stars, including Jarome Iginla, Roberto Luongo, and Chris Pronger (the three of whom you can see in screenshots in the gallery). For those of you who aren’t interested in hockey rules, fear not — you’ll be able to do awesome things like check goalies, and there will be power-ups!
Now usually, this is the part where I’d get really cynical and use terms like “shovelware” and “quick cash-in.” But, believe it or not, I’m cautiously optimistic about NHL Arcade. You see, there’s a very important fact to mention here: the game is being developed in-house at EA Canada, by the same team who worked on the phenomenally brilliant NHL 09. So instead of being skeptical and assuming it’s going to suck — like I did with games like 2K Sports’ MLB Superstars — I’m actually expecting a very solid arcade title out of this game.
And just like in NHL 09, you’ll have two control schemes (one for novices and one for pros) to select from in NHL Arcade. Another feature making its way over from NHL 09 is full-team on the internet play — you’ll be able to join up with two friends and take on three other players anywhere in the world. So who’s ready to get checked over the boards by me? More details can be found in the press release after the jump, and at the game’s official Web site.

Taito’s stylistic platformer and puzzler Exit has been around the block, first showing up on the PSP, and then to Xbox Live Arcade. But, Exit 2 is still nowhere to be found in North America. If a leak by Germany’s USK (their ESRB) is correct, Exit 2 will come to the Xbox 360 by way of XBLA, along with Space Invaders Extreme.
Of course, this isn’t really a confirmation for North America. Europe already has this game on PSP, and we still do. So, we’ll leave it at a rumor until we hear more.
That being said, it’s not really a stretch to envision the the sequel will hit the North American Xbox Live Arcade. Don’t they just flip a switch or something, and then it’s on?

Hey, guess what? Today is a day that ends in “y” — and coincidentally, here’s another rumor that Metal Gear Solid 4 is making its way to the Xbox 360! This one seems at once more concrete, and yet more circumstantial, than anything we’ve had so far. The header image was screencapped from this Web site, which is a simple Flash placeholder that’s linked from Kojima Productions’ English page (see upper right). The site merely rotates between the above image and Konami’s logo.
Destructoid tipster extraordinaire Joe Burling and I have been brainstorming for the past half hour about what exactly this could mean, because it’s important to note that — of course — this confirms nothing. Sure, the image is in neon green, which instantly brings the Xbox 360’s ring of light to mind … but if you consider it, that symbol is recognized worldwide as a power or on/off sign (after all, the PS3’s power button looks like this). After racking our brains and considering the facts, we’ve come up with a few observations and notes.
Both the URL of the Flash site itself, and the URL of the linking image, feature the phrase/initialism “MGST” — though we’re pretty much stumped as to what that could mean. Joe instantly thought of “Metal Gear Solid: Tactics,” which could suggest: (A) an entirely new game in the franchise, (B) simply an altered name for the 360 version, and/or (C) the “special edition” of MGS 4 that we all guessed was coming after Substance and Subsistence. Another interesting thing to note is that MGS 4 came out on June 12, 2008, and today (December 5) is exactly one week before the six-month anniversary of the release.
In addition, Konami’s stock has been flagging of late, so Joe speculated that this could be the precursor to some sort of announcement to try and reverse that trend. Still, the iconography here must be of some significance — exclamation points appear above soldiers’ heads in the games when they’ve spotted you, but why are two of them inverted here? Orcist wasn’t so swift to jump to the obvious conclusion (i.e., that MGS 4 is coming to the 360), saying that he figured Kojima would have something more mysterious up his sleeve in this age of viral marketing and alternate reality games. So hit the comments, Dtoiders, and help us out with your thoughts on what “a next Metal Gear is…”!

At some point in January, 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand will be on retail shelves. In our most current coverage of the title we were shown a basic glimpse of the storyline and gameplay. This trailer (accessible after the break for those over 18) expands what’s known about the title by debuting the “Counter-Kill,” a term coined by the game’s publisher THQ.
The Counter-Kill appears to be a counter that kills enemies. It is the direct opposite of the “Counter-Tickle,” which might or may not be in Blood on the Sand.
One comes away with an impression of the game’s brutality when viewing the video. Counter-Kills are fast and brutal. The flow of the move (minus the weird comic book thing) is a lot like the hand-to-hand stuff in the Bourne movies, except 50 doesn’t need rolled-up magazines to dispose of his future victims. He only needs a knee or a particularly sharp knife.
