World at War video has blood, also a bunch of quotes from reviewersPosted by admin in Gaming
Today Activision decided to tell everyone how well the media received their latest World War II shooter, Call of Duty: World at War. Instead of tossing out a press release with a bunch of exclamation marks and funny comments from reviewers, Activision went with a more streamlined, Internet-friendly approach. They released a video, with blood, bullets, and slightly out-of-context quotes from other people’s reviews. There is a notable exception, and that would be Mr. Sterling’s take on the game. Granted, we didn’t score it as highly as Activision or the game’s developer Treyarch would have liked, but we mean well. We really do, Activision. I did a swift Google search for World at War reviews to make sure Activision wasn’t just making up the comments. Instead of reviews, I found lesbian porn. That’s because I typed “lesbian porn” in the search bar instead of “World at War reviews.” It was an honest mistake that I plan on making again. The video (featuring blood and small amounts of text) is after the break. You should only access it if you are over the age of 17. Of course, you guys aren’t reading anymore. You’re probably watching lesbian porn.
With Skate 2’s release right around the corner, Electronic Arts is making sure we don’t forget by wishing us a happy holiday with some new Skate 2 screenshots. Actually, what EA PR are calling it is a “screens blowout.” Now, when I read the word “blowout,” I’ve certain expectations. So when I opened the digital package to only find ten screens, I was a bit disappointed. EA, when it comes to “blowouts,” you might want to have a chat with Majesco, who sent us — I kid you not — 114 screenshots of Zoo Hospital when the game was announced. It was completely frightening; that’s how you do a screenshot blowout.

Metallica scoops us, debuts trailer for Guitar Hero: Metallica on their own sitePosted by admin in Gaming
I don’t know who these Metallica goons think they’re, but seriously — what’s up with them getting the first look at Activision’s upcoming Guitar Hero: Metallica? While it’s certainly a bit unfair, we’ll take what we can get. So if we have to head over to the official Metallica Web site to get our first glimpse of the game, so be it. The trailer looks as expected, with the digital likenesses of Metallica looking like a cross between their real-life counterparts and Statler and Waldorf from The Muppet Show.
