Castle Crashers’ first bit of downloadable content, the King Pack, is currently available on Xbox Live Marketplace for 160 Microsoft Space Dollars. It’s also available for free, until supplies last, at the official Castle Crashers message board if you care to enter a ridiculously simple contest.
As artist Dan Paladin recently wrote on the Behemoth development blog, all you’ve to do is click over to the Behemoth Cares about Me! forum thread and post the message “behemoth adores me!” After you do so, you might receive a private message from The Behemoth with a redeemable code for the content.
This has been made possible on The Behemoth’s dime. “We have always wanted our King Pack for Castle Crashers to be FREE. And it’s not!!,” wrote Dan Paladin. “So, in order to accomplish this we went ahead and purchased a ton of download codes from Microsoft for our King Pack to give to you. Yes!”
I’m on my way, Behemoth. Ready that code, Kelly.

[Editor’s note: The original Halo Wars review was written before I had finished the campaign. This is usual in our industry, where reviewers have to make a judgment call as to whether or not they have played enough for review. A number of our readers disagreed with the judgment call made, The Extraordinary Edible Egg in particular, and as the debate has continued, we have decided to address the issue with a very simple fix.

If the members of KISS can have their faces on a lunchbox, and Aerosmith has its name attached to multiple games, why not 50 Cent?
State what you’ll about his music, but Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson III should be recognized as a shrewd businessman. From music to movies, clothing to Vitamin Water, the man’s put his name and G-Unit “branding” on more than a few products. And then in 2005, Sierra published 50 Cent: Bulletproof, a third-person action shooter that was received as mediocre by most critics and gamers alike.

OK, so let’s clear things up. Dante’s Inferno is Electronic Arts’ third-person action title that will be loosely-based on a portion of Dante Aligheri’s poem, The Divine Comedy.

5,000 square miles.
That’s how big the world is in FUEL. FUEL, on top of being an extreme off-road racing game, will be a completely open racer where players can design their own races. This means that you can design whatever course you’d like and spend HOURS on a single race as a result of your insane track within the 5,000 square miles of open land.
At first glance, I saw FUEL as a cross between Burnout Paradise and Pure. While there are similarities, FUEL looks to leave those other racing games in its dust with everything it’s offering. Find out more on the game and to see if I write any more horrible puns, after the jump.

Host clubs and hostess bars are big in Japan. Really massive. Osaka, where I studied, is host central. Watching those guys work their magic was something special. But that’s for another time over on Japanator.
So, D3, the publisher of the Naruto: Clash of Ninja series and Work Time Fun, is coming out with a new game called Dream Club. This game lets you live out the exciting life of a hostess…patron. That’s right. Instead of playing the game where you get to entertain needy customers, you get to play the guy who pays her money to speak to you.
But that’s not all! Nope, you get to work your ass off doing odd jobs just so you can meet the girls again. If you’ve paid them en– er, earned their affection, you can begin exchanging e-mails with them during the week, and possibly even date them (for more money, I’m sure). And then? Use your money to purchase them gifts.
Look, Japan. We need to speak.

No surprise, but there’s new content coming to Rock Band next week. The good news for me is that I want to buy all of it. Or maybe that’s bad news; tough economic times and all.
Here’s what we’ve got:

Prince of Persia’s post-game downloadable content, ‘Epilogue,’ is hitting the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on February 26. Rumor has it that the price is ten bucks (800 Microsoft Points) and the download could weigh in at 650 megabytes. Ubisoft have confirmed that ‘Epilogue’ will have its own Trophies and Accomplishments. Personal computer dudes need not apply — Ubisoft have also confirmed that the DLC won’t be coming.
To get fans pumped, Ubisoft released a trailer earlier today that shows off the content’s goal — to further the story of Prince of Persia with a new area, new boss, new moves, and a more of that lovely interaction with Elika. The interaction isn’t restricted to dialogue. At one point in the video, Elika slaps the Prince. Allowed, it’s just a few seconds of footage, but it feels good to see him get drilled.
‘Epilogue’ will be a much more difficult affair than the main game according to the content’s associate producer, Jamal Rguigui. “Expect everything to be at a higher pace and to keep you on the edge of your seat,” Rguigui told IGN. “Figuring out how to succeed passing this long acrobatic sequence mined with traps or how to defeat this boss before he regenerates his energy will definitely be more intense.”

Assuming Netflix’s library of streamable movies beefs up quite a bit, would you be interested in paying a lower monthly fee for streaming-only access? Don’t get too excited, as there aren’t any concrete plans yet, but it’s looking like a definite possibility.
Netflix CEO Reed Hastings proposed the idea while speaking with Bloomberg, pointing towards late this year to 2010 as a plausible time frame.
What does this mean for you? Seeing as how more than “one million Xbox 360 users have downloaded Netflix software,” and Hastings believes “a reasonable discount for [streaming-only access] is not inappropriate at all,” it could potentially mean a great deal for those using a 360 to stream video content.
Again, this new pricing model wouldn’t be happening any time soon, if it does happen at all, but it’s interesting to think about. Would you drop getting DVDs from Netflix if it meant a cheaper monthly rate for streaming motion picture acess only?

The Internet adores picking up on tiny things like job listings and then blowing them out of proportion, as if they always actually mean something.
Take this new 2K Games job listing for a UI Programmer for BioShock 2 that Cubed3 found on Gamasutra for instance. The listing states that they’re looking for someone with experience developing for next-generation game consoles, specifically the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and — wait for it — the Wii. BioShock coming to the Wii confirmed?
