It was hard for me to not make some kind of “Magical Mystery Tour” reference in the title of this post, because that’s exactly what The Beatles Rock Band seems to be.

Mysterious in that, despite the fact that it’s been announced, what the game looks like has been kept under wraps for quite some time. Magical, because seeing these first screens of the game in action you see the extraordinary way in which Harmonix has captured the Fab Four digitally. The “tour” comes into play because based on what we saw at Microsoft’s press conference today, the game will indeed capture the band through it’s startling progression throughout the years.

Think your little Xbox 360 avatar men/women thingies don’t have enough character? Microsoft hopes to remedy that soon.
