It seems that only a handful of us are excited about Left 4 Dead 2 at the moment, with all the protests and melodrama going on. Nonetheless, we proud few who actually can’t wait for more co-op zombie action will be pleased to see that some fresh screenshots have hit the Innarnetz. We were supposed to be getting them at E3, but I think Valve forgot. Oh well.
I’m personally really digging the daylight setting. Zombies always scare me more during the day, because the surroundings appear more normal and “safe,” yet here are these creatures that don’t seem to give a crap what time of day it actually is. Besides which, darkness is so overplayed these days.

One of Baseball Tonight’s most popular segments is called “Web Gems,” a nightly roundup of the day’s top ten defensive plays. It’s always fun to watch top-tier athletes go all-out to try and make a catch, and 2K Sports’ The Bigs 2 is taking that to the next level with its “Legendary Catches.” Above, you can see Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Rafael Furcal leaping to snatch a ball out of the air, and if you check out the video after the jump, there’s more insane defensive action.
Of course, seeing large hitters blast home runs never gets old, either, and the trailer also showcases “Big Slams” in The Bigs 2. If you load the bases with three consecutive hits, your next hitter will have a shot at a Huge Slam — just look at New York Mets center fielder putting a charge into that one. The Bigs 2 is less than a month away; it’ll be out on July 7th. Keep your eyes peeled for an upcoming hands-on report from me, and check out our 2K Sports tag for more on the game.
