Second Red Faction DLC pack announced, multiplayer only screenshot

Mars continues to grow. The next piece of Red Faction: Guerilla DLC is on the horizon, and unlike the previous release, this pack aims to sate those with a taste for smacking real players with sledgehammers and camping with sniper rifles. Dubbed “The Multiplayer Pack,” the content is stated to add eight maps and two game modes to the core multiplayer component.

The two new modes are called Bagman and Team Bagman. The objective in both is to capture a bag and hold on to it for as long as possible. Think Oddball for Halo 3 if you need a comparison.

A ton of images and a single walkthrough video showing off the content’s locations were released this afternoon. Check out the screens in the gallery and hit the fold for the vid.

The planned launch date for the content is September 17th on both Xbox LIVE Marketplace and the PSN Store. The 360 version will cost 560 Microsoft Points, while the PSN version will be $6.99. Those prices are probably equivalent. Or something.

Muse's Matt Bellamy gets plugged into Guitar Hero 5 screenshot

Yet another in-game musician has been revealed for Guitar Hero 5, this time the unlikely and random choice of Muse frontman Matt Bellamy.

Nothing against Bellamy; I love Muse and the band’s music, and I think it’s a perfect fit for these band games. (I simply love playing the bassline of “Hysteria” in Rock Band.) But when you compare him to the other “legends” who will appear in the game — guitarist Santana and the yet-announced, but more or less confirmed Kurt Cobain (among others) — he’s not quite up there. He’s also no Taylor Swift or that guy from Maroon 5.

WET demo available now for Xbox 360 screenshot

A demo for the Bethesda Softworks-published A2M-developed third-person action title, WET, is now available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

The 632 MB demo will give you a taste of the games various game mechanics, including controlling Rubi as she dual-wields her pistols, and goes into a bloody and violent rage. You know, for the kids. For now, the demo is available for Xbox LIVE Gold members only.

Rare's been battling the Xbox demographic, Natal will fix it screenshot

There’s no denying that British developer Rare has fallen from grace since it was acquired by Microsoft in 2002. Some would state that the quality of Rare’s games have suffered, but Rare believes it’s a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, with the Xbox demographic not interested in its latest offerings. Fortunately, Project Natal will fix everything, because motion control is the FUTURE OF ALL THINGS!

“I do feel in many ways that — and I’ve said this to some people as well — for me this is really the first time that Microsoft and Rare are on a very similar path,” offers design director George Andreas. “We’ve obviously been tasked to create experiences that nobody else can create, which explains things like your Kameos and your Pi
