Dead Rising 2: Case Zero
Uber Entertainment has announced that the rather great Monday Night Combat is getting a big title update, full of tweaks, repairs and class balancing. The Support, Assault, Tank and Assassin classes are all receiving some changes, so pay special attention if you play as those guys. Quite a few control, effect and message glitches have been fixed, and the game’s overall connectivity is getting a mass of improvements, as well. Sounds like a very robust patch that the game most definitely needed in order to go from great to superb. If you’re going to PAX Prime, the patched version will be playable ahead of release.
It’s highly likely that you’ve co mpletely forgotten about Quantum Theory. Tecmo Koei’s shamelessly “inspired” Gears of War clone has barely kept its head above the water of obscurity since it was announced over a year ago, but here are some screenshots anyway.
I first heard about The First Templar only recently and, given my fascination with violent Holy orders, I made sure to keep an eye on any new developments. With that in mind, here’s a trailer for the game, having been freshly released this day.
In this developer walkthrough, Epic’s Tayna Jessen walks you through a little over three-minutes of absolutely bats**t Bulletstorm gameplay. You want to watch it. If it looks familiar, it’s because it’s the demo that Epic and People Can Fly gave at gamescom. We posted that video on the internet, but this one is a bit higher quality, and you get hear Jessen’s lovely commentary and development anecdotes. Did you know that Cliff Bleszinski always wanted a four-barrel shotgun in one of the Unreal games? It never happened, but here you have it in Bulletstorm. Because, you know, it’s the kind of game that’s just begging to feature a four-barreled shotgun. (Question: Don’t all games?) Bulletstorm is out next year for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. I want it now. Via Destructoid
LA Noire has been in development for a while. By “for awhile” I mean reportedly since 2003. While Game Informer has seen the game, we haven’t. In fact, not many have, from what we can tell. But according to Rockstar’s parent company, the game is out this year, at least according to its last financial reports. So everyone act surprised when learn that retailers, including GameStop and Amazon, have pushed the game’s release into February of 2011. Joystiq checked in with Rockstar who cryptically stated “We haven’t updated anything since the last [Take-Two] investor’s call.” So here’s the thing — there’s another investors call next week. Seems like a great time to drop the bomb that one of its hotly-anticipated products won’t be making it home for the holidays, don’t you think? In the meantime, practice your looks of shock and disappointment; we’ll keep you updated if Take-Two officially locks in a new date. As a huge fan of Assassin’s Creed II, I couldn’t be more excited about Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. Based on what I’ve seen, it’s more than a quick cash-in, with updated game mechanics and a slew of updated content. So yeah, it looks great, and this seven minute walkthrough of the game makes me want it even more. |
