10 hidden iPhone features you may not know about

Apple’s iPhone is not just limited to making calls, taking photos or texting, there are various exciting features and some of them are relatively unknown. In this post, we will walk you through some iPhone’s hidden features.

1. Reply to messages without unlocking your iPhone

Apple now allows its users to respond to texts right from their iPhone’s lock screen, which is more convenient. To do this, swipe left on the lock screen notification, and touching reply will allow you to reply to messages without unlocking your device.

2. Reply to texts while you are in apps

If you are in apps like games or YouTube, there are times when you have to leave these apps to respond to texts, which is super annoying. Luckily, iPhone now allows you to respond to texts without even leaving apps. To do this, swipe down from the top of the screen and access the notification drawer to respond to a text while you are in apps.

In iOS 9, you can send audio and messages that will expire after 2 minutes by heading to Settings > Messages and tap Expire under the Audio Messages and Video Messages headings, and you can choose to let audio and messages stay available for 2 minutes.

You can go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Speech and enable Speak Screen and Speak Selection.
