The biggest focus of iOS 12 is improving reliability over adding more features. It’s been a burning request by iOS users; the periodic occurrence of lag in iOS version and it even appeared on the newest iPhone X.

Group FaceTime Calls
In iOS 12, FaceTime app finally supports multi-party video call. A group of up to 32 people can now get face-to-face conversations at the same time, with an interface called ‘Focus View’, which will highlight the person currently talking. Apple has also integrated FaceTime into the Messages app; users can now enjoy a video call just by sharing a link.
Another great addition is auto-copy-paste of one-time passcodes that you get via SMS message when you register for any service.

If there are multiple notifications from the same app, they will be intelligently clubbed into a group, and you can expand them just by a tap.
Furthermore, the new version also allows you can to easily manage notifications from the lock screen. There are app’s notifications you don’t want to see, you can choose to turn them off or show up them quietly in the Notification Center.

In iOS 12, Siri is upgraded to offer suggestions in notification form for repeated tasks. For example, if you usually order your coffee every morning through an app, there will be a notification from Siri, which has your usual preset, and then you can easily put the order even without opening the app.
Additionally, there’s also a new Shortcuts app; letting you configure your recipes of action items. Apps will also come with Siri Shortcut suggestions within their apps, helping it more intuitive to create them.

In iOS 12 version, Apple has even improved its ARKit 2, as it now includes multi-person interaction in AR environment. Moreover, ARKit 2 also features better 3D object and face detection; so sticking your tongue out can easily be identified.
Besides ARKit 2, Apple also introduced a newly inbuilt app, called Measure. With the app, you can easily measure dimensions of physical objects with the help of an AR ruler. Its functionality is similar to measurement apps in the App Store, but it’s still great to have this good app built into the iOS system.
