The date is now official – September 12, 2012. On this date, Apple will unveil their long awaited refresh of the iPhone. The phone, which will be named “iPhone 5” has been rumored to be released for months, with countless part and spec leaks emerging every few days it seems like. But the wait will soon be over, as Apple has now officially sent out invitations to an event which will begin at 10AM PST at the Yerba Buena Centre for the Arts in San Francisco, CA.
So what’s the big fuss all about? Apple’s next iPhone will most likely break all records to become the best selling smartphone of all time. Stockholders must be salivating at the thought of how many new iPhones Apple will sell this time around.
Here are some of the rumored changes this phone will have:
- 4 inch screen
- Thinner design
- Two-tone back
- Nano-SIM card
- 4G LTE support
- Smaller dock connector
The iPhone 5 is also reportedly the last iPhone that Steve Jobs personally worked on.
