Steps to disable notification sounds in Windows 10
Step 1: First, you need to access Windows 10’s notification settings. To do this, click the notifications icon in the taskbar’s system tray area and then click All settings.
Step 2: Once you are in, click System.
Step 3: Click the Notifications and actions category in the left column.
Step 4: Under the Notifications section, you will see the Get notifications from apps and other senders option that lets you turn off notifications.
Step 5: Under the main Notifications options, there are options to disable certain app from displaying notifications. Plus, you can choose notification settings for each of these apps on an individual basis.
Step 6: In order to disable the notification sound for the selected app, you can use the toggle next to the app’s name. You can also set other notification settings on this screen such as showing notification banners, keeping notifications private on the lock screen and showing notifications in action center.
Step 7: In order to close the Settings window, click the X in the top right corner.
