Apple Pay does come in handy, as it helps people securely pay when buying stuff online with iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and now even Mac. In fact, Apple Pay has been available on iPhone/iPad/Apple Watch for a few years, but it’s just been available on the Mac. And in this tutorial, we will be presenting to you how to install and manage Apple Pay on your new MacBook Pro and an older Mac. Have a look.

Steps to install Apple Pay on your Mac
Step 1: Launch the Safari app.
Step 2: Head to Safari > Preferences.
Step 3: Next up, click on the Privacy tab.
Step 4: Tick the box beside Apple Pay to allow websites to check if Apple Pay is set up.
Steps to install Apple Pay on a MacBook Pro with Touch Bar
Step 1: Launch System Preferences.
Step 2: Select Wallet & Apple Pay.
Step 3: Click on the plus button to add a new credit or debit card.
Step 4: You can either use your iSight camera to automatically enter your card information, or manually enter it.
Step 5: Accept your card’s terms and conditions.
Step 6: When your bank authorizes your card, you will get a notification telling it is ready for Apple Pay.
Steps to install Apple Pay on an older Mac
If you are using an older Mac, you are required to use your iPhone or Apple Watch’s stored cards to pay for goods and services.
Step 1: Open the Settings app.
Step 2: Tap on Wallet & Apple Pay.
Step 3: Now, flick the Allow Payments on Mac ON.
Steps to manage Apple Pay cards on your Mac
After you have successfully added a card on a Mac with Touch Bar, you can view its more detailed information from the Wallet and Apple Pay section of System Preferences.
Step 1: Launch System Preferences.
Step 2: Select Wallet & Apple Pay.
Step 3: To view a card’s information (account number, billing address, bank contact info, and transactions), just choose it from the side bar.
If you are using Apple Pay with an older Mac via your iPhone or Apple Watch, you will need to manage your cards on your iPhone.
Steps to change your default card
If you have added more cards, and wish to change your default card, just follow these steps:
Step 1: Launch System Preferences.
Step 2: Select Wallet & Apple Pay.
Step 3: At the bottom of the Wallet & Apple Pay screen, choose the card you would like to make your default option from the dropdown menu.
Steps to remove a card
Step 1: Launch System Preferences.
Step 2: Select Wallet & Apple Pay.
Step 3: Choose the card you would like to remove from the sidebar.
Step 4: Click on the minus button at the bottom of the sidebar.
Step 5: Click on Confirm to remove the card.
Steps to manage your contact and shipping information
Follow these steps to have a look at your current contact info and change it if you want.
Step 1: Launch System Preferences.
Step 2: Select Wallet & Apple Pay.
Step 3: Choose the Contact and Shipping option at the bottom of the sidebar.
Step 4: Now, choose the default contact info and shipping address from the dropdown menu.
Steps to manage your billing address
Step 1: Launch System Preferences.
Step 2: Select Wallet & Apple Pay.
Step 3: Choose the card you would like to change from the sidebar.
Step 4: Under the Billing Address dropdown, choose Add a new Billing Address.
Step 5: Type in the new billing address and click on Save.
Steps to view recent Apple Pay transactions
Step 1: Launch System Preferences.
Step 2: Select Wallet & Apple Pay.
Step 3: Choose the card you would like to view from the sidebar.
Step 4: Choose the Transactions tab at the top of the screen.
Note that if you want your Mac to alert you for all transactions, simply tick the box for Show transaction notifications from [card].
