Microsoft’s Edge browser comes with a built-in reading view that helps you quickly remove unnecessary content like ads or links so that you can concentrate on what’s important in the article you are reading. This tutorial will walk you through the steps to enable, disable, and customize reading view in Edge for Windows 10.
Steps to enable and disable reading view
Step 1: First off, you need to open Edge from your Start menu, desktop, or taskbar.
Step 2: Next, visit a webpage with the article you wish to read.
Step 3: Click the reading view button located near the top of the window. Note that if it is grayed-out, then reading view is not available on this page.
Step 4: Lastly, click the reading view button again to go back to the regular webpage.
Steps to change view style in reading view
Step 1: First, open Edge from your Start menu, desktop, or taskbar.
Step 2: Click the More button located in the upper right corner of the window.
Step 3: Click Settings, and then click the dropdown arrow under Reading view style.
Step 4: You will be asked to click a view style. After that, you will have four options: Default, Light, Medium, and Dark.
Step 5: In the end, click the More button again to close the menu.
Steps to change the font size in reading view
Step 1: First, you are supposed to open Edge from your Start menu, desktop, or taskbar.
Step 2: Click the More button located in the upper right corner of the window.
Step 3: Click Settings, and then click the dropdown arrow under Reading view style.
Step 4: You now need to click a font size to reveal four options: Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large.
Step 5: Finally, click the More button again to close the menu.
