Steps to enable auto app downloads on Apple TV
Before getting started, it’s worth noting that to download Apple TV apps using your iPhone, you will have to enable auto app downloads on your Apple TV. Plus, ensure that your iOS devices and the Apple TV are all using the same Apple ID. Now, just follow these steps:
Step 1: Open the Settings app on Apple TV.
Step 2: Select Apps.
Step 3: Select Automatically Install Apps. You will see On next to the feature, if it is turned on.
From now on, every time you download an app or game that is compatible with Apple TV, it should show up on your Apple TV’s Home screen.
Steps to disable automatic downloads on Apple TV
If you don’t actually want to have tons of apps and games installed on your Apple TV, and just want to use them on your iPhone/iPad, it’s a good idea to diasble automatic downloads. But note that, you will now need to manually download apps onto your Apple TV from the Purchased tab. Here’s how to disable the feature:
Step 1: Open the Settings app on Apple TV.
Step 2: Select Apps.
Step 3: Select Automatically Install Apps. You will see Off next to the feature, if it is turned off.
