The ZTE Blade V8, which was officially unveiled at CES 2017, is now available for purchase in China. It is priced at CNY 1,499 (around $215) and comes in two color variants: Silver and Dark gray.
Now in China, the variant that has gone for sale in China packs a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Initially, only 2GB/16GB, and 3GB/32GB variants were unveiled. All other key specs of the 4GB/64GB variant remain same like the Snapdragon 435 SoC, 5.2-inch full HD display, 2,730mAh battery, and Android Nougat.
For some background, the ZTE Blade V8 sports a 5.2-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at a PPI of 401 pixels per inch and a 2.5D glass laid on top, and is powered by the 1.4GHz Snapdragon 435 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 505 GPU. The Blade V8 features a physical home button on the front that is embedded with a fingerprint sensor. The volume rocker and power button are located on the right edge of the smartphone.
In the camera department, the ZTE Blade V8 comes with 13MP dual flash rear camera and an 8MP front shooter for selfies. Both the front and rear cameras pack LED flash that is intended to capture decent images in the low light conditions. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS with A-GPS, 4G, VoLTE, NFC, 3.5mm Audio port, and USB Type-C port. The Blade V8 draws its power from a non-removable Li-Ion 2,730 mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 technology, and features a dual-SIM slot that is convenient for those who often travel or have two phone numbers. Its dimensions are 148.4 x 71.5 x 7.7 mm and weighs 141 grams.
